Expertise of the participating organization:
Since 1995 we are specially focused on Movement Disorders and at that time the out - patient centre at St. Adalbert Hospital (the only one in northern Poland) was opened. Our special interests include neuropsychiatric problems of patients with Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders, atypical parkinsonism, botulinum toxin treatment in different indications. We are the only one centre in northern Poland which is involved in selection and post operative treatment of patients after DBS. Since 2007 we are also a part of EHDN (European Huntington's Disease Network - prof. Landwehrmeyer, Ulm) and take part regularly in European Restless Legs Study Group meetings. We collaborate with several centres in Poland, but also with Mayo Clinic Jacksonville, FL (Prof. Z. Wszolek). Members of my team were trained at Neurology Dpt. in Kiel (prof. Volkmann and Deuschl).
